What does the treatment look like?

After an examination by a dermatologist who indicates the need for IPL treatment, a cooling gel is applied to the treated area. The treatment itself is very simple and painless, lasting only a few minutes. After the IPL treatment, the patient can resume normal activities. In the days following the treatment, patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and use high sun protection factors.

When do results become visible

The results of an IPL treatment are immediately visible. When small changes such as hemangiomas or smaller capillaries are being treated, a single treatment is sufficient. In the case of treating rosacea and persistent redness, treatments are repeated 3 to 4 times at intervals of 3 weeks.

How long do results last

The results of IPL treatment are permanent. After the treatment, patients are advised to use appropriate skin care regimen at home and avoid factors that provoke redness: sun exposure, saunas, certain foods, and alcohol.
